Printable PPE!

Happy Monday team!

Just hopping on to share some resources on how you can get FREE custom personal protective equipment 3D printed for you and your staff. These instructions are easy to follow and ready for those who have a 3D printer! If you do not have a printer, check to see if there is a local 3D printing company in your area that will print for you, or ask a colleague who might be fabricating their own in house aligners :)

The mask frame above is designed to be pressed on top of an existing face mask. It was created using the Bellus3D FaceApp. You guys, this app is free and super easy to use! There is even an option to personalize the frame with up to 6 characters that will be carried out in the print. It literally takes less than 2 minutes to complete the face scan and export the STL file. Here’s a quick tutorial from Bellus3D:

Another great resource is the FormLabs community part library.

Keep checking back as they add parts!

Formlabs has curated parts from hundreds of designs and concepts currently being explored to support COVID-19 response efforts. We’ve carefully vetted these prints with our internal team of healthcare experts and engineers, as well as clinicians when possible, and optimized the files and materials for stereolithography 3D printers such as the Form 3. From mask components to door handle add-ons, this small but impactful collection can help alleviate supply-chain shortages around the world.

Feel free to comment on this post with any other resources! We will try to keep you updated as well.

Stay safe.
